TOMORROW'S STARS LEADERS
The Tomorrow's Stars is always looking for students that are leaders who will in time help educate others in the Elmina area. Many of our scholarship students have tutored others and helped motivate their friends.
The Leadership Award is designed as a way to help our Scholarship graduates use their year after HS to "push those who are climbing" as well as begin their life's work.
We expect them to "Pay it Forward" by helping Tomorrow's Stars on its mission "to make education possible in Elmina, Ghana" while pursuing their own career.
Rudolph Mensah (below) is an outstanding student and young adult. He is a great model for other students. Since graduating, he taught at Christ Cares school to save money for furthering his education. He tutored younger students to prepare them for National Exams. He invested some money in a pig and a few bags of salt and hopes both will yield profits. He has applied for and received a loan for tuition. He is now attending Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he is studying herbal medicine. here are some excerpts from a recent letter "
I am putting in more effort because the situation calls for it and i hope that it yield it desired results...
My prayer is that things work out as planned " the secret of success is getting ready" and i think i am almost always ready......if i think of the number of people who now look up to me as a pacesetter, calling me, wanting to be where i am, i just tell myself that i can't afford to disappoint all these people: myself, my family, friends.."
Francis Yartel has enrolled in Accounting school at Cape Coast. He also works as a tour guide on history of Elmina specializing in the over 500 year history of this World Heritage Site.
