Bantuma School is a Public School very near CC Prep School on the outskirts of Elmina, Ghana. This village is a deprived fishing community. The school has over 800 students registered.  The children were on split shifts until a new primary building with 6 classrooms was built in late 2009.  This new building had a room designated for a Library and the school was thrilled to get a chance to use it as such.  There is still a need for 3 classrooms so split shifts are not needed in grades 7, 8, 9.

The older buildings where very worn and old.  In joining forces with SABRE Trust we could begin to provide the many resources needed.  First we outfitted the library with books and shelves.  Next we gave the old buildings an uplift inside and out and organized many activities and classes to enhance literacy utilizing many great volunteers.
